September 11th

9/11 Patriot Day Ceremony- held at the Village Commons Fireman’s Memorial at 9/11am.

September 12th

RECYCLEPALOOZA
8am-3pm Spencer School Campus 1711 S. Spencer Rd New Lenox

Service Projects- These clean up / fix-up projects are for those who need a helping hand. We have completed over 200 services projects the last 7 years.  If you know someone who could use a helping hand or if you would like to volunteer call or visit the website, Service projects are scheduled September 12th and September 19th from 9am-12pm.                                              Contact Gary: info@sharefestnewlenox.com    

Forest Preserve Workday Projects- located at Hickory Creek Junction and in cooperation with the Will Count Forest Preserve District. This requires very physical labor. A liability waiver must be signed (on the site) and proper clothing should be worn. “THE MAIN EVENT”

ShareFest Saturday Spencer School Campus 1711 S. Spencer Rd. 

Art Exhibition- Fr. Don Bates shares his extraordinary passion and gifts in an exhibition of his ninety drawing inspired by the book The Confessions of St. Augustine. 12-3pm in the Gym.

 

Book Drive/Exchange- this reuse & recycling event is sponsored by the Girl Scout Troop 273 to promote literacy and recycling books.  Twenty thousand free books exchanged and donated last year. Everyone is invited to drop off and/or exchange new and gently used books.  9:00 am -3pm   Contact Monica:  monica.m.willson@gmail.com  

 

Blood Drive–at the Main Event at Spencer School in conjunction with the Health & Safety Fair. Heartland Blood Center mobile bus will be there from 10-2pm.  . Contact:  gary@sharefestnewlenox.com

Food Drive:  Free food give-a-way at Spencer School on Saturday Sept. 19th 9-3pm. Donations will also be accepted for the local pantries.

Pilcher Park Clean Up - volunteers meet at Pilcher Park Nature Center 2501 Highland P ark Dr. Joliet, IL. 9:30am-Noon.
